James is the leader of Walker St Data and can also be often found leading strategic initiatives in data science and predictive modelling. With over a decade of experience across engineering, consulting, and fintech, James specialises in transforming complex data into actionable insights that drive economic outcomes. His work focuses on using machine learning to produce reliable economic estimates and enhance return on equity for businesses.

Joshua blends academic rigour with real-world execution. After beginning his career as a researcher in nonlinear optics, he moved into financial data science, spending the past four years at Shift where he helped build and lead the modelling team. His work focused on developing and embedding credit risk and classification models into core lending systems, with an emphasis on practical impact and long-term model health. Joshua brings a thoughtful, systems-oriented approach to solving complex data problems.

Ray leads product at Walker St. Data combining fintech acumen with a customer-centred approach to innovation. In his most recent role as a Senior Product Manager at Shift, Ray led the transformation of Shift’s digital platforms, enhancing its digital experiences and delivering measurable outcomes. Prior to Shift he developed and launched new products for the consumer lending business at ING Australia. Ray has over 20 years of professional experience spanning engineering, business analysis and product management roles – bringing a blend of both technical depth and strategic vision.
